Barco de vela navegando cerca de platja d'aro

The proposal that we make to you today from the Bulevard Hotel in Playa de Aro is to dare to discover the Costa Brava sailing with Rafael, an old lateen sail boat, which sets sail almost every day full of crew from the port of Palamós.

The Rafael sailing along the Costa Brava

The story of the Rafael sailboat tells us that it was a boat built in Palma de Mallorca in 1915, a time when boats of this type sailed in pairs in search of fresh fish.
The proposed visit takes place calmly, without haste and with the charm of the Latin apparatus, on board this boat we relive a time that has stopped off this stretch of the Costa Brava.

The skipper, Joan, encourages us to hoist the sails, lets us take the helm or teaches us how to remove the anchor while we tour the coastline of Palamós, Calella de Palafrugell and the Formigues islands.

Before returning to Palamós, a stop is made at Cala Castell, a spectacularly beautiful cove, where, weather permitting, you can swim, then have breakfast and even taste a good Empordà wine that Joan offers us before continuing sailing. For more information you can ask us at reception or if you prefer, call Joan directly on the phone 609307623 or write an email to joan@telamarinera.es
